NOT LUCKY, BUT BLESSED

"Acknowledging the good you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance." - Eckhart Tolle
Queen! I know. I get it. The world is going through it right now. This pandemic is dragging on. Too many people have gotten sick and too many people have lost their lives. There are people protesting not being able to go to the nail salon, as if their crusty toes could be helped. There are racists running rampant out here in these skreets, yet peaceful protesters are being targeted with tear gas. All the while, buildings are exploding over seas, we're in the middle of a lose-lose election, and through all this, the ice caps are still melting. Not to mention you've probably been home with your boo and/or kids driving you up the wall and down the street. Life is shit.
Or is it?
This pandemic has already given us Queen Tabitha Brown, collaborations like #Beyonce and #MeganTheeStallion 's Savage Remix, and the best #BETAwards in recent history. We've slowed down and had time to spend with family, that we haven't had before. So many of us are resting for the first time since we graduated from college. Others are learning that they have been on the wrong career path and are stepping into their true purpose. Many folks are starting businesses, writing books, creating art, and realizing their true potential. There are racists runnin rampant, but for the first time in a long time, most of us agree that we're not having it. Anonymous came back to fuq shit up. Moms of all different races and backgrounds are forming protests lines together. Even the Amish rolled up with their #BlackLivesMatter signs. If trump wins, we'll be done with his ass in the next 4 years. If he doesn't win, we won't have to deal with him for at least 4 years.
I don't know about you, but I've been cooking more. Since I don't have anywhere to go, I've been catching up on all of my shows. My house has never been more clean. I'm reading. I'm writing. My skin has never been more clear.
Queens if you continue looking at the negative aspects of life, all you're going to see and experience is the negative. Focus on the positive and you'll never have a dull moment in your life again.
How do you focus on the positive? By practicing gratitude.
Gratitude: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
This simple but powerful tool is great to add to your toolkit for success. It is the best way to get through any tough situation or to let any negative situation, that pops up, instantly roll off your back.
Think of it this way, we all know, and I've said a million times that anything you conceive you can achieve. If you're constantly thinking negative thoughts, you're doing nothing but inviting negative energy into your aura. You're literally attracting. negativity. However, if you think more positive, you vibrate on a higher frequency, thus attracting positivity into your life.
Same thing goes for any problems you might be facing. If you constantly worry about what you don't have or what negative thing might happen, you're thinking from a place of lack. All you're doing is inviting more of nothing and negativity into your life. However if you think from a place of abundance, if you think about all the good that can come from this problem, and all that you do have. You'll eventually attract a positive end result.
Queens, gratitude is the easiest thing to do to get your life from where you are now to where you want to be. To practice gratitude, all you have to do is write down three things you are grateful for, everyday. That's it! That's literally the tea.
No, I'm serious. It's really that simple Queens. Choose a time of day and write down three things that you are thankful have happened in your life in the last twenty four hours. I choose to do this at night before I go to bed. I write down three things I am grateful to God for. Last night, my list read:
I'm grateful for both of my work husbands :* (that's a kissing face emoji btw)
I'm grateful for my new crystals so I begin crystal work
I'm grateful for Beyonce and Black is King
I'm grateful for the song and visuals for Brown Skin Girl
Queens, this exercise comes so natural to me now, that I can never just stop at three, even on my worst days. The more and more you do this and stay consistent with the process, the easier and easier it will become for you to find the positive in all the situations life may throw at you!
It's a great day to conquer the world. So, step into the Queen you're meant to be and SLAY!!!
